Ghost Hoax is a suspenseful supernatural thriller in both the tradition of the 1963 "The Haunting," and "The Blair Witch Project." We made the movie on a microbudget over a four year journey plagued with delays, serious injury, death, and clinical madness. The completion of this project was only through the perseverance of the cast and crew and the belief in the story and characters. We hope you enjoy our ghost story as much as we do.

Vlad Peters--writer director
Vlad started life as an English Lit major who wanted to write books, but kept making video shorts in a compulsory sort of way, instead. It became apparent after the fifth short that this was a phase out of which he was just not going to grow. At some point a friend of his introduced him to someone at a party as "a filmmaker" and the notion finally stuck. His shorts include: "The Schizophrenic Master, " "The Puritan's Boot," "Mars Needs Slackers," "McHugh!" "Public Abscess" "My Jar" "Late" "Catcher" "Mr. Box" "El Macho Vs The Canadian Mummies of Mars." "Ghost Hoax" is Vlad's first feature length presentation and he wants nothing more than to do at least a hundred more. Not much to ask, huh?
Jon Southwell- "Tom"
Born and raised in Western New York State. Jon Southwell began his acting career at Notre Dame High School. He joined the drama club as well as the photography and library club. The acting continued during a stint with the United States Air Force. Mr. Southwell became a member of the Tombstone Wild Bunch, spending weekends in Tombstone, AZ performing in Wild West shootouts. After several years of the Wild Bunch shootouts, Jon ran off to join another wild bunch-the circus. He was a roustabout traveling the west coast with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. His circus days were short-lived to return to Arizona where he completed his degree in Dramatic Arts. With a pretty varied resume, he moved to the aspiring actor's infamous promise land of Los Angeles, California. He graced the sets as human furniture in Norm, NYPD Blues, ER, Jack and Jill and The Fast and the Furious. Always up for more challenging roles, Jon worked on the films El Macho vs. The Canadian Mummies of Mars, The Inheritors, A Little Light, The Sound of Silence, The Red Machine, Ghost Hoax and a music video, So Stay In Love. Jon lives and works in L.A. enjoying the Southern California weather, teaching himself to surf, being an avid motorcyclist and in constant search for the role of his lifetime.
Merry Grissom- "Maureen"
Merry Grissom is a classically trained actor from the East coast. After studying at Bard College in New York, she lived in London for a year where she studied and performed with the British American Drama Academy. She has worked in theater in Pennsylvania, New York, London, Massachusetts and California. She has appeared on television in "Catching Your Breath" for PBS; online in the series' LonelyGirl15 and VanMan, and on film in S.O.P., Live at Five, Your Name Here, and Shadows, along with many others. She continues to work in theater in Los Angeles, and has appeared in productions at the Lex, The Underground, Two Roads, Working Stage and The Bitter Truth theaters.
Jenny Coyan- "Teresa"
Jenny started acting at the age of 12, but didn't get her first Hollywood gig until "O' Pioneers" with Jessica Lange where she played the French girl Monique in 1991. Jenny got her degree in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Drama at the University of Nebraska. She moved to California in 1997, but maintained a "real job" in the industry working in post production at LaserPacific Media Corporation, a subsidiary of Kodak. At the Company of Angels in Silverlake she did tech jobs such as lighting and sound. However, she got the acting bug again when Vlad Peters offered her the role of "Teresa" in "Ghost Hoax" and hopefully this will be a fresh start to get her back in the acting world again.
